I've just visited Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Khoo Kay Kim earlier today in Universiti Hospital, who was admitted to the ICU for treatment. You may know him as a prominent historian and an expert in Malaysian Studies. He played a role in shaping the Malaysian landscape today with his contribution in crafting our National Pledge, the "Rukun Negara".

I spent some time speaking to the doctors attending Tan Sri Khoo Kay Kim. I pray for his speedy recovery, and conveyed my warmest regards to Puan Sri Rathi Khoo, the wife of Tan Sri Khoo Kay Kim.
