PSY's manager has just e-mailed to news@bernama.com copy editor on the email too (lesleanbenjamin@gmail.com) with the statement below: 

"Scooter Braun Projects, the management of the artist PSY wishes to categorically state that they have never been engaged or paid by the Malaysian Government for the artist's recent performance in Penang, Malaysia. News and articles circulating on the internet suggesting otherwise are therefore pure conjecture and manifestly untrue
