KL CHRONICLE: Selangor Churches Going Against Sultan of Selangor, Wants to Keep on Using ALLAH in Churches #KalimahAllah

In a blatant disregard and a show of disrespect to the Sultan of Selangor, Catholic Churches  in Selangor will continue to use the word Allah during its weekend services in Bahasa Malaysia despite the Sultan's decree on November 14, 2013 which clearly states that :

"The word Allah for Muslims refers to the one and only God as mentioned in Surah Al-Ikhlas (in the Quran)," said the sultan in a media statement issued by Selangor Royal Council secretary Hanafisah Jais. (Source : HERE)

The Sultan of Selangor, after a discussion with the Selangor Royal Council last Nov 11, decided that the people in the state, regardless their religion and origin, were to abide by the ban on the use of the word "Allah" by non-Muslims.

This is provided under Section 9 of the Non-Islamic Religions (Control of Propagation Amongst Muslims) Enactment 1988.

However, even thought the Sultan has issued his decree, the Catholic weekly Herald editor Rev Father Lawrence Andrew said that:

"We will continue to use the word Allah in our masses," he told The Malaysian Insider today (December 27, 2013)

I regard the comment by Rev Father Lawrence Andrew an attack on the authority of the Sultan of Selangor  and the royal institution of Selangor. An appropriate action shall be taken against Rev Father Lawrence Andrew to ensure that this will never happen again. As a respected public figure, Rev Father Lawrence Andrew shall know better that the Sultan powers is provided under Section 9 of the Non-Islamic Religions (Control of Propagation Amongst Muslims) Enactment 1988

Wallahualam. Kepada ALLAH swt Kami Berserah
